Pri italijanski založbi Hell Yeah Recordings so se v čast letošnji poletni klubski sezoni vsem jezdecem elektronskih ritmov odločili na tehno pladnju ponuditi kompilacijo, ki jo je zamiksal en in edini DJ Umek, človek, ki je že vrsto let del svetovne DJ elite. Njegovo izjemno popularnost je lani le še potrdila pogodba z eno od treh največjih DJ agencij na svetu – Bullitt Bookings, katere lastniki so Deep Dish.
Zdaj je končno pred nami njegov najnovejši projekt, na katerega je marsikdo nestrpno čakal – novi miks album. Nedvomno gre za mojstrovino, saj se Uroš vedno drži zelo visokih standardov, in ‘izdelka’ raje ne objavi, če ni z njim 110% zadovoljen.„Fotr“ je tako spisal edinstveni vodič po najboljših tehno ritmih današnjega časa ter na elektronski kup vrgel tiste izvajalce, ki so vredni poslušanja. Vnovič je dokazal, da zna ločiti zrno od plevela ter za set na dvojnem cdju premišljeno izbral najboljše klubske skladbe tega trenutka.
CD1 na kompilaciji Umek?Hell Yeah ni zgolj obsežen dokument o trenutnem tehno stanju, ampak tudi sodobni testament Umekovih spretnosti miksanja in produkcije. CD2 pa je na drugi strani poslastica za vse tehno zbiralce, saj je Umek na njem počastil z dvanajstimi, še neizdanimi ekskluzivnimi miksi, ki jih je posnel v obdobju od leta 2000 do 2006. Njegovo stremenje k najboljšemu zvoku je tu jasno, saj se je lastnoročno podal na pot razgibanih tehno krajin in odkril ter v naše zvočnike še vroče dostavil najbolj kvalitetne mikse ta hip.
Na kompilaciji tako med drugimi dogajajo zvoki, kot jih slišijo Fergie, Oliver Koletzki, Koen Groeneveld, Spektre, Dyno, Piatto, Dandi & Ugo, Olivier Giacomotto in Tomy Declerque, začinjeni z nekaj Umekove produkcije in remiksov. Umek je vse skupaj zamešal v gotovi tehno miks letošnjega poletja.
