The past year has been yet another great year for Uroš Umek. After months spent on the development of a fresh new sound in his renovated studio which in the centre of Ljubljana’s independent culture zone Metelkova, he struck back on the scene with his own Astrodisco concept of clubbing, a bunch of innovative underground releases and the globally-acclaimed hit single: “Posing As Me”. The single was championed by the top techno, house, trance and electro deejays and even made it to a number of mainstream radio stations. The video received broad TV coverage on various TV stations, including MTV. However, this was only a snack served before the main course which is about to be served in the near future. Therefore, Umek’s coming LP is one of the most expected releases on the planet. And yes, the rumors are true – Umek’s forming his own live band. How does that sound?
