DAN ELEKTRONIKE 2008
Ljubljana danced again at the second annual gathering of top European electronic artists
Last Saturday Slovenian capital hosted the second Dan elektronike (The Day of Electronics) gathering. The Futuristing Music’s event promotes electronic dance culture as one of the driving force behind the contemporary pop culture. This year more than 20 artists from all over the Europe gathered in the Krizanke open air theatre and club Factory to present their photography, music pieces, visuals, graphic designs and multimedia performances. Umek, Oliver Huntemann, Marc Romboy, Dusty Kid, Lützenkirchen, Boris Brejcha, Kiko, Mikael Stravöstrand and selected local artists performed in five different arenas, but it was the French light-bender Laserman who stole the show. The event was also the opportunity to join the on-going petition for the proclamation of 15th of May - the Day of Electronics as the official National Day.
