DJ Awards 2008 Nomination

On Thursday 25th September, club Pacha, Ibiza will host this year’s DJ Awards ceremony. This is the 11th edition of this event, which is now one of the most important award ceremonies in the music industry calendar. This year the list of the Categories and the Nominees has grown significantly and DJ Umek has been nominated in the Techno category alongside big names like Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Sven Vath and others.
Winners, who will receive the mythic "Kryptonite" award, are decided via public voting, which has started on Monday 21st July and will end on Sunday August 17th. The main message of this year’s festival, which highlights the voice of concern to the music industry and how music industry can help to make changes, is “Do not change the climate, change yourself!”
