Early summer season closing and Ibiza memories
11th September 2012 / Comments (0) / Views (569)
Yet another successful season in Ibiza is coming to an early end. Why early? This year I had one of the hardest summer schedules and after regular weekly trips to different and often distant timezones I was forced to take a few weeks off. It tears my heart, but my management insisted to cancel all the gigs until 25th of September in order to get some much needed rest. Don't worry, I'm already charging my batteries, so expect to see even more energetic and bouncy shows in the following months.
Anyway, I was proud to be a part of Carl Cox's famous Tuesday nights at Space for a third time in a row. It still brings up butterflies and goosebumps when I'm opening the main floor and see the crowd rushing in like water from an open dam as soon as the gates opened. This is definitely the magic Space has – an unbeliavable crowd, dancefloor packed with energy and that primal, honest party spirit. The club was packed to the last spot every night and the crowd danced as one. This is definitely one of the best feelings a DJ can experience.
To share a piece of excitement with you, I was accompanied by a camera crew on one of my Ibiza trips and the guys tried to catch at least a part of the famous Ibiza spirit – this time from a DJ's perspective. We had a blast shooting the video and although it's a little over 3 and a half minutes long, it took us 4 days to shoot all the desired scenes. I think we successfuly completed our mission and that the video is truly a thorough recap of what has been going on on the island this summer. What do you think?
